It is reported that China's Anhui Shoukuang Dachang Metal Materials has got the approval of new bar/wire projects from the state's National Development & Reform Commission to set up an annual production capacity to 3 million tons for long products. Meanwhile, the new projects will expect to build 1,280 cubic meter blast furnaces, two 150 tons converters and three 8-strand billet casters as the upstream part of the plant. In the meantime, the wire rod mills are designed to produce commercial grade products as well as high-spec materials such as cold-heading and welding rod respectively.
